A picture is worth…

This is the space where the picture would be if it weren’t stuck in the camera.

The other day I was involved in a discussion about word images and visual images; watching the film after you’ve read the book, for instance, and seeing that they get things all ‘wrong’.

So I’m not going to try and describe the picture.

But has reading this created any image in your mind?

When you read something really ‘heavy’, or boring, and have to go back over it several times to get any sense of what you’ve read, could the reason be that the words are not creating any mental images as you read them?
