I’ve often wondered where people get the inspiration or building blocks from to design things like wrapping paper or the sort of carpets you find in cheap hotels.
Maybe such designers are all frustrated writers who decide to write with pictures when they find the words have gone on strike or are in a rebellious mood.
Hmm… that reminds me of something I wrote some years ago.
I like words
they are my friends
when I don’t expect too much of them.
It is not fair
to overload them
with too much meaning to carry.
Words on their own
have their own shape.
Do not bend them with too much weight.
When words desert us, have we been guilty of mistreating them?
