Autumn leaf

I sit on a bench
Slight movement in the tree at my side
A leaf has come loose
And floats gently down.
It has never been free before
Never before touched ground
Yet its life is over.

How does it make you feel about freedom, life, death?

They take their own course. The moments we have are brief. You have put this in a lovely way – thanks.
