Snowdrops

Snowdrops

I looked out the window this morning
Rejoicing at tiny white spikes
Snowdrops replacing the snow
Joy thawing and warming my heart.

I was reminded of these pictures I took the other year and how quickly the seemingly endless winter turns to spring. Many coloured flowers will soon appear but there is something pure and poignant about these. Angesl bringing the message of Spring, perhaps?
