What is success?

What do we mean by
success? What did we hope to
acheive? Is it done?

Is my heart gladdened?
Do I feel like I’m flying?
Am I full of joy?

Well, how do we measure success? Is it objective or subjective and do we measure our own success differently from other people’s?

Perhaps we are likely to regard someone else as successful if they have achieved what we would like to achieve ourselves. But achievement is not necessarily the same as success and different people have different goals. If our goals are not very high, we might succeed in meeting them without achieving much in other people’s eyes but we may equally achieve a lot and still not feel successful if our goals are set beyond our achievements.
