Mowing the lawn

A task
A job to be done
A chore
So some people seem to view it
But to me
After a stressful day
Sorting other people’s problems
To come home and catch
The last of the light
Before the sun sinks to bed
Is a joy
A therapeutic treat
I like to
Mow the lawn

I find outdoor yard work quite therapeutic too. I don’t mow the lawn (there’s a story behind that) – but – I will do other stuff around the yard.

  2. Sounds intriguing – is the story private?

Mowing the lawn is one of the chores that I truly enjoy. There is something about making a pattern in the grass and savoring the freshly cut grass smell that does seem to be therapeutic after a long day at the office! 🙂
