I am lonely

Somewhere inside I am lonely
I am lonely and yearning for you
How I long for us to be close
Yet no distance is there to divide us
You are here and right by my side
But yet inside I am lonely
Remember young love years ago
You liked something, I liked it too
But now there’s no sharing of taste
Remember when we were in love
All life was one joint adventure
But now we go our own ways
I wanted to be independent
Be more than appendix of you
But we lost something on the way
