Ginger – life fights back
After a while a new growing tip emerged from the chewed top which opened into a very stunted leaf. The next one had its tip missing. But hey! It’s still growing! Life is stronger than destruction.

Ginger – a second shoot
The ginger continued to grow with a second shoot soon overtaking the first. A week or so later a leaf started to appear on this second shoot whilst the first appeared to have stagnated.
